Computer diagnostics of sight
Doctors say that the right diagnosis is 50% of recovery guarantee.
What does a highly qualified ophthalmologist need for diagnostics? - Modern diagnostic equipment with high-precision optical lens system. The size of our eye is only 24 mm, and in order to examine all its structures, the equipment with 60-90X magnifying power is needed. Modern diagnostic equipment allows for detection of almost all ophthalmologic diseases: anomalous refraction (far- and short-sightedness and astigmatism), cataract, glaucoma, retinal diseases (dystrophies, ruptures, and detachment), optical nerve diseases, inflammatory diseases etc.
Our Center offers complex diagnostics including:
- measurement of vision acuity and its correction
- autokeratorefractometry (computer measurement of eye refraction)
- pneumotonometry (non-invasive computer measurement of intraocular pressure)
- biomicroscopy when the pupil is narrowed (examination of the anterior segments of the eye with the help of the slit lamp
- computer perimetry (defining visual field)
- А-scanning (measurement of length of anterior back segment of the eye)
- ophthalmoscopy and biomicroscopy when the pupil is diluted (fundus examination)
- consultation by a highly qualified ophthalmologist who will design an individual course of treatment.
Average time needed for diagnostics – 40-60 minutes. All examinations are painless and non-invasive.
If the patient does not need complex diagnostics, all kinds of diagnostic manipulations can be performed separately.
